Thank You: sneak peek

 Happy Sunday! I had a lot of fun stampin' the day away with my stampin' sisters yesterday. My friend Kim put this event together it's pretty fun to just be able to hang out with the girls and see how they put there new goodies to use. We make several samples and bring them to share, you can either case the samples, tweak them a bit or you can use them as inspiration which ever way you choose. There were several of us demo girls that got together so it was a fun filled day of laughing and creating as well as making new friends. This is one of the sample cards that I made for the day. Can you point out the sneak peeks in this card??? Let me help you the leaves in the background and the image stamped for the flower and that cute little thank you banner! Anything else? In the mean time I will continue to play with my pre-order goodies and give you sneak peeks till then. It's a beautiful Sunday so get out there and enjoy your day!

Guest Stamper: Jen W

Today's guest stamper is my down line and good friend Jen. She hand delivered me this card, it's a thank you from her baby shower. Her inspiration/case came from Mary Fish. Jen and I both love her work and find that we tend to pull great ideas from everything that she does or just plain case what she does. You can find Mary Fish's inspirational thank you card here. She made some minor changes either way this card is bright and cheery and turned out great. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day it looks like the weather will be nice today!

JUST FOR YOU

Happy Monday, I hope that you all had a great weekend. We had a pretty busy weekend over here at the Toll House, from play dates, to build a bear birthday parties to my clear notebook class on Sunday, our weekend just flew on by. My mom emailed me last week and asked me to whip up a quick just because card for her also followed by and can I pick up after work. Uh OK that doesn't give me much time. At the time I was watching my 2 year old as most us know that is a full time job {which I absolutely love, I'm not complaining} and working on baby shower invites. So because I love my mom I dropped everything for her and tried to whip up a quick card..... um it took a bit longer than I planned. So for those of you that have been pregnant you will totally understand. So to give you an idea my stamp room is upstairs but Caleb was playing downstairs with his trains so I went upstairs to grab what needed for my quick card, I came downstairs and started to work on my card when I realized not once but at least 5 times that I forgot something and had to go back upstairs to get what I needed. BOY was that a workout! But can you say Preggo brain? At least that's what I call it. I think I took most of my time making tracks up and down the stairs than creating. LOL =D So back to my card, I took Mary Fish's layout idea and changed it around a bit but my inspiration came from her. I love that lady she does such awesome work and is very inspiring. Gotta run lots to do, I hope that you have a Happy Monday!

Paper: Springtime Vintage DSP {mini}, Very Vanilla, Rose Red, Baja Breeze

Ink: Rose Red & Crumb Cake

Stamp Set: Just Believe {one of my FAVES}

THANK YOU, BEVERLEE

Good Morning, I received these cute little boxes last week. It was a very unexpected thank you gift, the door bell rang and I thought to myself I wasn't expecting anyone I wonder who that could be? I opened the door and to my surprise it was my up line Beverlee with these cute little post it note boxes for my grandma and I, needless to say I was pleasantly surprised! Beverlee volunteers at interfaith in Tracy so we had donated birthday bundle care packages for less fortunate families. You can find out more on how you can help by clicking here. PAJAMA~RAMA GIFTS

Last night was our Pajama-Rama that my cousin & I put together. We had a late night and a lot of fun all of us girls, laughing, chatting, munching and of course shopping the SU! Catalog. I didn't get as much done as I had hoped for being that I was distracted by all the fun and company. So thank you to the ladies that came last night from a stay at home mom that was long overdue for some much needed girl time. I hope you had as much fun as I did!
In today's post you will see some "thank you" gifts we made for the ladies that attended last night. The tablet shown above was a 8 1/2 x 11 cut in half. This paper can be purchased at any office store in various sizes, they will also cut it in half for you, you just have to ask them to do it. Using Sticky Strip I covered the existing spine and added some DSP {tip: before cutting into a brand new sheet of paper look at your scrap size pieces to use.} To finish them off I added a little shopping bag from the Things I Love stamp set, I punched the image with a 1 1/4 circle punch and layered it using the 1 3/8 circle punch and Scallop Circle Punch. Our ladies really loved them so what do you think? Drop me a line and let me know!

THANK YOU~THANK YOU~THANK YOU

These were the thank you cards that I made for Caleb's birthday. I was trying to stay cute, quick and simple. I sure hope that I achieved that. I made 2 different color combo's this one is So Saffron as the base of the card and the the Top Note Die was textured Baja Breeze CS. I used the Sweet Slumber DSP for the Scalloped envelope leaving the scallop off to make it more on the boy side. Using the So Saffron ribbon from the sale-a-bration catalog I tied a knot and then wrapped it around the envelope. I then stamped the present from the Party Hearty stamp set in So Saffron and punched it using the 3/4" circle punch. I also punched and 1" circle in Ruby Red and gave it a pop up layered look with a dimensional. I cut a 2 1/2" x 3" Whisper White CS for the envelope insert and stamped the Thank You in So Saffron, Ruby Red and Baja Breeze from the Family Phrases Stamp set. I like the way they turned out, now let me know what you think.

~THANK YOU~

I can’t remember if I may have seen the idea for this card some where else or it is possible that it is my original design? Hmmm I will have to ponder over that. I definitely am on the Internet a lot searching for inspiration from other talented stampers. I am what my husband likes to call a stamping web junkie (LOL). I wanted to try and make a masculine Thank You card for my friend and this is what I came up with. I thought that the blues and grays helped. The base of the card is Sahara Sand CS it was then matted with Baja Breeze CS and Urban Garden DSP. I then took the FOR YOU from the Oval All stamp set that will be released on April 1st and just used the “YOU” and outline using my Marvelous Marker Not Quite Navy and my Basic Gray Marker and used the Thank from the “thank you” in the All Holidays stamp set. Using the large oval punch for my sentiment. I used the dimensionals to pop up my sentiment on my Scallop Oval that I punched in Baja Breeze (Oval Scallop coming soon Apr. 1st). Added and ribbon knot at the top using out 5/8 Striped Baja Breeze Grosgrain Ribbon. Thanks for checking in and tell me what you think does this pass for a MASCULINE card? Hmmm I wonder!
