Valentine Defined Shoebox

Happy Sunday, my pictures didn't come out that good not sure if it's my camera or operator error or maybe my son got a hold of it again and changed the settings. Any whoo, today's post was for a shoebox exchange that I did last Sunday with my fellow demonstrator sisters, the theme was the occasions mini I also ended up using it for a 6th swap that I'm a part of. When I first got a glimpse of the new mini I saw the Valentine Defined stamp set and new I had to have it, I just loved those flamingo's aren't they just so darn cute. This entire stamp set is just so darn cute and is pretty versatile it doesn't have to just be used for valentine's day. I loved all of the other cards that I got to make at our shoebox exchange and will share some of those as the week goes on. Now go enjoy the rest of your Sunday and thanks for stopping by. Supplies:

Paper: Melon Mambo , Pretty in Pink, Whisper White Bold Brights Patterns Pack

Stamp Set: Valentine Defined {mini Occasions pg. 9}

Ink: Melon Mambo Classic, Melon Mambo Craft

Accessories: Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder, Circles #2 Die, Tasteful Trimmings Die, 2 3/8 Extra Large Scallop Circle Punch , 1 3/4 Extra Large Circle Punch, Pretty in Pink Satin Ribbon

*** It's difficult to see in the picture but I embossed the flamingo's using the iridescent ice embossing powder to give it some sparkle. =D

Happy Birthday, DAD!

Happy Early Birthday, DaD! I made this card for my Father in Law, his birthday is tomorrow but we are doing his birthday weekend starting today! I wish I could take credit for coming up with this candle idea but I can't I've seen them everywhere on all styles of cards so I'm not sure who to give credit to. I tend to use more neutral colors when making masculine cards but I decided to go with the bold and bright. I have to keep it short so I have to run the birthday festivities will be starting soon. Drop me a line and let me know what you think does this pass for a masculine card? Thanks for stopping by and have a happy Saturday!

I couldn't wait to break out my new stamp set Create a Cupcake which is featured in the NEW mini occasions catalog along with the matching handy dandy cupcake punch. I loooove it! TIP: If you mix rubbing alcohol and add a few drops { as many as desired} of shimmer paint together it's makes for a great spritzer. Our stampin mist bottle makes for a great bottle for this the spray is a fine mist which is perfect.

Fabulous thank YOU

Happy Monday, I hope that all of you had a wonderful Christmas. I know we sure did! I just loved watching my 2 year old open all of his presents and the excitement in his little face it's just so priceless. It was also fun to watch him really get into and see the changes from last year.

Here is a card that I made from my down line Jenn. This card was inspired by Mary Fish. I stalk her blog daily. I just love her work and she really helps me step out of the box with her bright colors along with my Color Coach. You can click here to see her version of the card. I made some changes to make it work with the supplies that I had and added a few of my own embellishments. Thank you for the inspiration Mary, you're awesome!

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to you and your families! Be safe and have a wonderful day spent with family and friends. Here is a poem that a friend of mine sent to me I thought was cute so I thought I would share it with all of you.

Recipe for Christmas All Year Long

Take a heap of child-like wonder
That opens up our eyes
To the unexpected gifts in life—
Each day a sweet surprise.

Mix in fond appreciation
For the people whom we know;
Like festive Christmas candles,
Each one has a special glow.

Add some giggles and some laughter,
A dash of Christmas food,
(Amazing how a piece of pie
Improves our attitude!)

Stir it all with human kindness;
Wrap it up in love and peace,
Decorate with optimism, and
Our joy will never cease.

If we use this healthy recipe,
We know we will remember
To be in the Christmas spirit,
Even when it's not December.
