UPSY DAISY BIRTHDAY

I made this card for one of the many birthdays that are coming up in my family. I like how this card turned out and I hope all of you do to.

I used the Baja Breeze CS for the base of my card (this happens to be one of my favorite in colors, I will be sad to see it go) and matted the Walk in the Park DSP to the front. I used the Oval Scallop Frame Die cut in Baja Breeze for the trim around the flowers. I had a extra piece of Whisper White CS from a previous scallop oval so I stamped the flowers from the Upsy Daisy stamp set in Baja Breeze and Cameo Coral ink and tried to give that multi color affect. The birthday sentiment was stamped in Baja Breeze and you can find it in the On Your Birthday stamp set. I added just a little bit of ribbon to the bottom in our new limited white satin ribbon for a finishing touch. Thanks for checking in.

SPRING FLOWERS

I love spring when all the flowers start to bloom and the butterflies start to come out. So that's where my inspiration came from. I purchased the metal pitcher from the dollar section at Target( i love the dollar section). I used the Daisies #2 die cut and Walk in the Park DSP to make my flowers and placed them on top of the pencils that were purchased from Office Max the Daisey pencils were inspired by another demonstrator Kim Molesworth, thank you Kim for you creativity. I used the butterfly die cut and the Walk in the Park DSP to create my butterfly that looks like she landed on the pitcher. As for the front of the pitcher I used the Summer Love Rub~Ons. A little Baja Breeze ribbon to the top and there you have it a Spring Bouquet. The Walk in the Park DSP and the Summer Love Rub~Ons are located in the Mini Occasions Catalog for a limited time only, June 30th. Thanks for stopping by.

TRENDY THANK YOU!

I'm back! Sorry for my absence lately. My son was sick and then our computer got sick. Now I'm trying to get my mojo back from being out of the creative loop for awhile. So hopefully I'm on my way.

I made this thank you card for a friend of my mom's. I was trying for a masculine card, however I think this may go either way. I used Kiwi Kiss for the base of the card and stamped the dotted circles in Kiwi Kiss all over the base of the card except for where I knew I would be placing the strip of DSP. I cut a strip of the Good Morning Sunshine DSP and added a scallop edge to it with the scallop edge punch, I then matted that on Very Vanilla and Chocolate Chip CS. At the bottom I tied some 1/4" grosgrain ribbon in Chocolate Chip and Very Vanilla. I then stamped the trees from the Trendy Tree Stamp Set (this stamp set is a two step stamp set however it is a super easy set to use, I love it) using Kiwi Kiss, Chocolate Chip and Summer Sun. I matted it also on Kiwi Kiss and Chocolate Chip CS and adhered it using demensionals. The thank you sentiment is also from the same stamp set and there you have it a simple and quick thank you card. It's not always easy for me to come up with a masculine card so I hope this card helps those of you that struggle with a male card. Now tell me what you think.

ROCKABILLY~LIVE, LAUGH & LOVE

I finally had a chance to pull out my Rockabilly DSP and play with it. I absolutely love this DSP it is very versatile it can be used to make a girlie and or masculine card. However I decided to make a girlie card with it! :0)
This is a standard size card. Cutting it at 4 1/4 X 11". I used Riding Hood Red as the base of my card and added the Rockabilly DSP to the front. I scored a fold at 1 1/2" and added DSP to the flap as well. Adding the new White Satin Ribbon from the new mini occasions to the flap on the front making a bow. The cherry is from the Tart & Tangy stamp set and is stamped in Basic Black and Riding Hood Red and then matted and popped up on a Scallop circle punch that is Rockabilly DSP to coordinate. The card insert is Whisper White CS matted onto Black CS. The Sentiment is from the On Your Birthday stamp set and was stamped in Riding Hood Red ink and Black. Using the Rockabilly DSP again in the same patter I then punched a tab using the round tab punch and placed it in the corner. This was very quick and easy and if I don't say so myself I was pretty happy with the way it came out. Thanks for stopping by.

THANK YOU~THANK YOU~THANK YOU

These were the thank you cards that I made for Caleb's birthday. I was trying to stay cute, quick and simple. I sure hope that I achieved that. I made 2 different color combo's this one is So Saffron as the base of the card and the the Top Note Die was textured Baja Breeze CS. I used the Sweet Slumber DSP for the Scalloped envelope leaving the scallop off to make it more on the boy side. Using the So Saffron ribbon from the sale-a-bration catalog I tied a knot and then wrapped it around the envelope. I then stamped the present from the Party Hearty stamp set in So Saffron and punched it using the 3/4" circle punch. I also punched and 1" circle in Ruby Red and gave it a pop up layered look with a dimensional. I cut a 2 1/2" x 3" Whisper White CS for the envelope insert and stamped the Thank You in So Saffron, Ruby Red and Baja Breeze from the Family Phrases Stamp set. I like the way they turned out, now let me know what you think.
