SWEET LITTLE CHARLOTTE

OK first off I want to say that Charlotte's mommy Jen gave me permission to post her picture on my blog. Thank you Jen.

This card was made for a spring/ late birth announcement. Jen asked me to try and help her come up something that she could use her Tea Party DSP paper that she recently got. So this is what we came up with. Using So Saffron CS as the base of the card we cut it to the measurement to fit in a small open end envelope at 6 1/4 x 3 1/4. Tea Party DSP was then matted not before using the Scallop Edge Eyelet Punch. Charlotte's picture was then matted on to Pretty in Pink CS. Using the Certainly Celery Ribbon from the ribbon bundle in the sale-a-bration catalog to the edge I then added a Daisey from the Daisies Die Cut using a alternate pattern of the Tea Party DSP. In So Saffron using the Round Tab Punch Charlotte's name and age was added using the Almost Amethyst Marvelous Marker. I thought this card was simple and cute and who could resist a sweet little face like that. Thanks again Jen

A LITTLE SOMETHING

This card was made for another one of my sweet little nieces. The base of this card is the Pink Pirouette CS and was then matted with the Kiwi Kiss DSP from Bella Rose. For the piece in the middle I scalloped the edge of the Pink Pirouette CS and added a bit of detail to the edges using the All Scallops Stamp set in the same ink as the CS. I used a retired stamp set for the sentiment that was a level 1 hostess set from our previous SU! catalog Best Yet. My little birdie was from Nursery Necessities all of which were stamped in close to cocoa ink. I added a bit of 5/8 Pink Pirouette stripped grossgrain ribbon with a Hat pin and some beads from the Pretties Kit. I was happy with the way this card turned out. Thank for checking in.

WILD ABOUT YOU~ HAPPY BIRHTDAY!

This card was made for my niece who turned 2. I wanted to make something that was playful and that showed she was turning 2. I decided to use the Wild About You stamp set and just picked random animals for the squares which I stamped onto Whisper White CS using Basic Grey, Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa and Kiwi Kiss. The little bird on the alligator and lion were stamped in Summer Sun and then matted onto Baja Breeze. The base of the card is Baja Breeze and was then matted with the happy birthday DSP from the Hand Drawn Bundle (hostess level 3, I love this bundle great reason to book a party to try and earn it). I added a bit of ribbon at the bottom using the 5/8 striped Baja Breeze grossgrain. And that was that. Let me know what you think.

RASPBERRY KISS BUTTERFLY

So this was one of the cards that was made on Thursday nights Stamp a stack. Raspberry Tart is one of my favorite DSP. I love how it combines the Rose Red and Kiwi Kiss colors. This card was inspired by a blog that I follow, her name is Jenny M and she is a SU! demonstrator located in the UK http://www.stampingmoments.blogspot.com/ I played around with it a bit to try and make it a little bit different. My cousin & I like to do workshops together and we both thought it was a great way to allow the girls to play with the BIG SHOT that we love so much :0)!
This is a standard size card. The base of the card is Rose Red then matted with Very Vanilla and then again with Kiwi Kiss using the eyelet scallop on the edge to give it a bit of elegance. I matted the Raspberry Tart onto the Kiwi Kiss using two of the different designs. I used the Scallops #2 Die cut and my coluzzle to cut out a rose red center circle (coluzzle is now discontinued). Using the Butterfly Die cut I then cut the smallest butterfly in very vanilla and stamped the flower in rose red from the Pocket Silhouettes stamp set. I added in Rose Red the little swirl at the bottom of the butterfly from the Season of Joy stamp set (who said that you can't use x~mas stamp sets all year round, LOL). Hopefully I did Jenny proud thank you for the inspiration.

STAMP A STACK

For those of you that came to Stamp A Stack last night I want to Thank You, I had alot of fun getting together with my old stampin' group as well as my new stampin' friends. If you came last night the girls received this bag that was made out of the various sheets of the SAB DSP. Also the ribbon that worked as straps was earn it free from the sale-a-bration catalog. This held all the cards they made for the evening. The standard size cards fit perfectly in this tote bag. To add a little personalization to each bag their initial was added to a tag on the front. Thank you ladies again for coming it was a great time. Just a little note and you know who you are can't wait to see the jack tripper shorts and the athletic head band at the next workshop (LOL). Check back later to the cards that were made.

OWL TOGETHER

First off I want to apologize for the picture not being so crisp. I made this card for my cousins birthday. This set is called Owl Together and as you guys can tell from previous posts, yes I love owls. For this card the base is Old Olive CS. I used retired DSP (I believe it was called Haiku) for the outer flaps and snailed Old Olive to the center and matted Whisper White CS which I stamped my image on. I tied a knot for the ribbon. To color in the owls I used my handy dandy blender pens (love em'). I was pretty happy with the way this card came out. Thanks for stopping by.

GET WELL GG~MA

This was made for a very spunky grandma who is going stir crazy at home. She recently had surgery so she hasn't been able to do much. So I thought this would cheer her up a bit. This cards color combination was inspired by the new upcoming Summer Love Rub~Ons that will be released April 1st in the Occasions Mini Catalog. The base of the card is Cameo Coral. I stamped the background from the Fresh Cuts stamp set onto Whisper White CS using the Cameo Coral ink pad, matted it with the Baja Breeze. I used the butterfly die cut using Baja Breeze and Bella Rose DSP added a bit of chunky glitter to the center of my butterfly for a little bit of glitz. "Get Well Soon" sentiment is from Sincere Salutations stamp set and stamped in Baja Breeze. The ribbon used for this card is the new white satin that will also be released April 1st. Let me know what you think.

~THANK YOU~

I can’t remember if I may have seen the idea for this card some where else or it is possible that it is my original design? Hmmm I will have to ponder over that. I definitely am on the Internet a lot searching for inspiration from other talented stampers. I am what my husband likes to call a stamping web junkie (LOL). I wanted to try and make a masculine Thank You card for my friend and this is what I came up with. I thought that the blues and grays helped. The base of the card is Sahara Sand CS it was then matted with Baja Breeze CS and Urban Garden DSP. I then took the FOR YOU from the Oval All stamp set that will be released on April 1st and just used the “YOU” and outline using my Marvelous Marker Not Quite Navy and my Basic Gray Marker and used the Thank from the “thank you” in the All Holidays stamp set. Using the large oval punch for my sentiment. I used the dimensionals to pop up my sentiment on my Scallop Oval that I punched in Baja Breeze (Oval Scallop coming soon Apr. 1st). Added and ribbon knot at the top using out 5/8 Striped Baja Breeze Grosgrain Ribbon. Thanks for checking in and tell me what you think does this pass for a MASCULINE card? Hmmm I wonder!

a little SOMETHIN' SOMETHIN'

Sorry for being absent from posting the last several days. I have been taking care of my sick one year old and so it has prevented me from creating. Here is a little somethin' that I made for a few different occasions. This little treat jar makes for a great favor whether it is for a baby shower, bridal shower and or just for a thank you. What ever you would like it for really. I used the Candy Lane DSP with the Curly Label punch. I also stamped the sentiment from the level 2 hostess set in Riding Hood Red onto Very Vanilla CS. You can not see it in the picture but I also punched out a 1 3/8 circle for the top of the jar in the same DSP. Using Riding Hood Red taffeta ribbon to complete it. I filled this particular jar with Hot Tamales one of me favorite candies (mmmm yum). You can purchase these plastic jars at Michael's and Walmart. What do you think of this idea?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAISEY

I absolutely love the Daisies die cut. I recently purchased this die and just now got a chance to play with it so I decided to make my mother in laws birthday card with it. My idea came from the pick a petal stamp set. The CS used for this was Confetti Cream. I then used Baja Breeze and embossed it using the Texturz Plates Background #1. It doesn't show really well in the picture but I used the "Happy Birthday" for the stem from the Stem Sayings stamp set. The DSP used for the daisey was the Walk in the Park that will be released April 1st. The ribbon is the So Saffron from Sale-a-bration Catalog. This card was quick, simple and easy to make. With Sale-A-Bration coming to a end you might want to take advantage of being a hostess and earn double benefits, not only would you earn your regular Hostess benefits but you and your guests will earn free Sale-A-Bration merchandise for every $50 spent. So don't hesitate Sale-a-bration ends March 31st and contact me today. Thanks for stopping by.

BIRTHDAY WISHES

This is another card that was made for Caleb for his birthday from one of my Stampin' pals. She is very talented and has made alot of fun and unique cards. You can view more of her work at www.stampinwithniki.blogspot.com .So ok i'm going to do my best here; the CS used was Baja Breeze and Manchester DSP. She stamped "CALEB" in Baja Breeze on Whisper White CS (i'm not sure what alphabet stamp set was used). She then punched out the letters of his name with the 1 1/4 circle punch. Always Artichoke CS was punched using the 1 3/8 circle punch to create the matting for his name. To finish it off she used Baja Brezze stripped ribbon and combined in the linen thread (i think that gave it a nice touch). Thank you again.

BIRTHDAYS WISHES

This card was made special for Caleb's birthday by Alyssa. Alyssa is new to stampin' I think this might be the second or so card that she has made, I think she shows huge potential for being new to the world of card making. I'm not sure what supplies she used, I do know that the star that was used is a retired SU! punch folk star. As for the paper your guess is as good as mine. Kudos to you Alyssa I think that this is a very cute card and I can't wait to see your future projects. Caleb says thank you too and wants to know when Jack can come out and play again.?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

This card was super cute. This was made for Caleb's 1st birthday from one of his favorite auntie's. This is a Niki original. Auntie Niki new that Caleb loves the cartoon Veggie Tales so she was inspired to create a card around that. For those of you that are not familiar with this cartoon the characters you see are Bob "The Tomato" & Larry "The Cucumber". The base of the card in the new in color Baja Breeze and the square border is Pacific Point. She used all the in colors for the balls that surround them. The sentiment at the bottom is the CHIT CHAT rub~ons. Niki is very talented and you can also view her blog http://www.stampinwithniki@blogspot.com/ for more details. Thank you auntie Niki for my fun and adorable card. BTW sorry the picture came out so dark.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY OWL

First off I want to apologize for the picture being a little fuzzy. I made several attempts and the pictures all came out the same. Maybe it's time for a new camera, lol :0)! This card was made for another fellow stamper who is very talented her name is Jen for her birthday. You can find some of the cards she has made on www.stampinwithniki.blogspot.com. Jen likes bright colors and more of the fun character cards. I used one of the in colors Pacific Point for the base of the card and then matted Good Morning Sunshine DSP. Using the Scallop Circles #2 Die Cut for the border and the Coluzzle to cut out the center of the scallop. My winking owl was from the Hand Drawn loop bundle as well as the Happy Birthday at the bottom they are both rub-ons. Did I mention that I absolutely love our rub-ons they are so easy to use. I cut a flower from the Birds and Blooms die cut in Pacific point and added a so saffron flower brad( from the flower assortment) to the center to make it look like a barrette. Added a little bit of pacific point 5/8 striped ribbon to finish it off. I liked this card let me know what you think?!

URBAN BUTTERFLY

I made this note book for one of my clients that hosted a party. It was my way of saying thank you. I just purchased a note pad that was 5x3 but you can do this with any size note pad. I cut the measurements to what I needed according to the size of the note pad I used. I covered it in Basic Gray and added Urban Garden DSP to the front the notebook and on the butterfly chipboard (on board batch of blooms). I added Basic Gray Taffeta ribbon to hold the notebook closed and added a little bit of white taffeta ribbon to the butterfly. At the bottom of the book I stamped "NOTES" using the Defining Alphabet stamp set. This project was very simple and my client absolutely loved it. Thank you again Nancy for hosting a party. So if you like this then you might just receive one too for booking a party and now is the time to do it with Sale-A-Bration still going on you as a hostess will earn double benefits, not only would you earn your regular Hostess benefits but you and your guests will earn free Sale-A-Bration merchandise for every $50 spent. So contact me and let's book a party!

SWEET "THANK YOU"

This is one of the cards that I made for Stamp Camp. I liked the way this card turned out I think that it was very simple and yet elegant. I love this color combination so when the Raspberry Tart DSP came out with two of my favorite colors I was super excited. The card stock used on this card was the Pink Pirouette, Kiwi Kiss, and the Raspberry Tart DSP. I stamped the flowers using the "Sweet Stems" stamp set and then used the SU! scallop square punch. I had to cut the squares to matte the flowers at 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 and popped up the squares using the dimensionals. The "thank you' was from the Fresh Cuts stamp set. I used the pink pirouette ribbon and finished the card with a little bit of dazzling diamonds glitter to give a little sparkle to the flowers.

I made this card for my Grandma's birthday. I love this set Cheap Talk it is so cute and fun! The card stock used was the new in color pacific point and our newest DSP Good Morning Sunshine it is absolutely adorable. I stamped the "happy o' birthday" sentiment by the birds mouth to try and make it look like she was singing! The sentiment is from the On Your Birthday stamp set. The ribbon used was the pacific point. I think this card is cute and was very simple to make.

MY DEAR FRIEND

Can you tell that I love to use the SAB DSP. I absolutely love the color combination. I hooked on the Sahara Sand at the moment. I made this card for a shoe box class and the theme for the class was Sale-a-bration. I really liked the sentiment so I thought I would base the card around it. I used textured Bashful Blue CS, SAB DSP, Sahara Sand and Whisper White. I used the Scallop edge punch and used the "All Scallops" Stamp set to add a little more to the edges. I used the 5~petal flower punch for the larger flowers and the Boho Blossoms for the Smaller ones and a clear rhinestone brad for the center to hold the flowers all together. The sentiment stamp is from the "All Holidays"using my Bashful Blue and Certainly Celery markers allowed me to two tone the sentiment. I wanted the sentiment to look like it was hanging so I set a pewter jumbo eyelet in the corner and ran Bashful Blue taffeta ribbon through and finished it off with a bow and there you have it. :0) Thank you for checking in.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY

I have to say that I absolutely love the rub-ons from the level 3 hostess set "Hand Drawn Bundle" I can't get enough of them. SU! rub-ons are so easy and clean to use they are wonderful. I made this card for my husband for our 4 year anniversary that we recently shared. I know it may not be real masculine but that's ok my husband loved it anyway. Ok so I used Bashful Blue for the base of the card, SAB DSP, and very vanilla. I also used the top note die and the birds and blooms die cuts( the smallest flower). The two outside flowers were popped up with dimensionals to give it a little extra pop. I wanted to try and make the owl look like she was carrying a bouquet of flowers and this is what I came up with. I added pearls for the center of the flowers from the pretties kit and vanilla taffeta ribbon to complete.

CALEB'S 1st CUPCAKE

Ok I have to be honest this is not my original; I have to give credit where credit is due. I was inspired by my upline Beverlee. I took her idea and changed it a little bit to work for me. Her's was a little to girlie to use for a boy. I made these for my little boy's 1st Birthaday Invitation. I used Baja Breeze for the base of the card the Happy Birthday DSP is from the level 3 Hand Drawn Bundle( i love it). The cupcake was made using the Big Bold Birthday die cut. Using the same DSP for the bottom portion of the cupcake. I cut the top of the cupcake using Baja Breeze CS and our new Sticky Pages. I sprinkled some white chunky glitter on the top because who doesn't love glitter (oh yea my husband) and a white tafetta ribbon for the bow and voila there you have it. Thanks again Beverlee for your inspiration.

"OWL PUNCH" Demo Swap

I had a alot of fun with this card. I used this card for my imprints meeting that I had with a group of other SU! Demonstrators. The card swap theme we were suppose to use was Sale-A-Bration. I was so flattered that in a room full of talented and creative ladies that my card won. I used Sahara Sand as the base of the card and SAB DSP for the bottom half. I used multiple punches to create the owl, Curly Label punch, 1/2 inch circle, Boho Blossoms, Large Oval, Scallop Circle and Trio Flower. The Colors I used to make the owl were Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, So Saffron, Whisper White and Chocolate Chip from the Bella Rose DSP. The Stamp sets used were the Owl Together and the Congrats from the Sale-a-bration Catalog. I added just a little bit of Bashfull Blue tafetta ribbon and for a added touch a pearl from the pretties kit for the center of the flower on his chest. I hope you like him as much as I do!
