Scentsational Christmas

Are you already for Christmas? I'm close I've finished my Christmas shopping and now I can really get cracking on all the holiday paper crafts I wanted to complete like Christmas tags and various treat holders, The fun stuff right?  So I will keep this post short.

The size of this card is 4x4 and seems to be a go to size for me, so I've been told. I really do have fun making this size card for just about anything whether it be to hold a gift card or even to just accompany a gift. I used Be of Good Cheer DSP for the base of the card (this dsp is located in the current catalog on pg.164). I forgot to take a picture of the inside but I layered a piece very vanilla card stock on the inside so that I would have someplace to write. Well off to spend some quality time with my family today. Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend.

Supplies:

Paper: Be of Good Cheer DSP, Very Vanilla & Wild Wasabi CS

Stamp Sets: Scentasational Season & Pennant Parade

Ink: Wild Wasabi & Cherry Cobbler

Accessories: Merry Minis Punch Pack, Holiday Collection Framelits, Window Frames Collection Framelits, Jewelry Tag Punch, 2 1/2" Circle Punch,  Festive Piercing Pack, Brushed Bronze Designer Buttons, 7/8" Natural Cotton Ribbon, Cherry Cobbler Bakers Twine, Basic Rhinestone Jewels

Thinking of You

Here's a card that we did at a recent Super Stampers. The ladies requested that we do not do Christmas and could they do a variety of occasions for the projects. I knew for sure then that I wanted to do a masculine card that could be for any occasion especially for a man's birthday if chose to. So this is what I came up with. I love the lovely as a tree set and it looks so pretty when embossed you may not be able to see it in the picture but this was heat embossed using pewter embossing powder. I'm really loving the new Core'dinations card stock especially when used with the woodgrain embossing folder it gives that added texture. I gotta run off to do some much needed errands.

Supplies:
Paper: Early Espresso, Core'dinations Early Espresso, Old Olive, Very Vanilla, Cajun Craze and Orchard Harvest

Stamp Sets: Lovely as a Tree, Sweet Essentials

Ink: Early Espresso, Versa Mark

Accessories: Apothecary Accents, Autumn Accents, 1" square punch, Ribbon Slides, Early Espresso Stitched Ribbon, Lucky Limeade Ribbon, Pewter Embossing Powder and sanding block

Beautiful Birthday

I made this card back in October for my cousin Niki. It took a bit of time to get it to her between turn of events with life and the post office it caused it to get to her later than I'd hoped. For this card I wanted to do something simple and elegant. I have a really hard time with simple and I tend to add lots of layers or embellishments sometimes even both, so I thought I'd challenge myself a bit. I don't think I did too bad. Thanks for stopping by! =D

Supplies:

Paper: Raspberry Ripple, Whisper White, Baja Breeze

Stamp Sets: Flowering Flourishes (pg.121)  and  Beautiful Birthday (pg.44)

Ink: Old Olive and Raspberry Ripple

Accessories: Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, Delicate Designs EF, Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Raspberry Ripple 3/8" Stitched Ribbon

Introducing the NEW FIRM FOAM PADS

I've had some questions about our New Firm Foam Ink Pads lately. What's different about them? Why are they better? How will it affect my stamping? I will start by saying that the image quality is a lot crisper and the coverage is wonderful. They don't require a lot of effort {pressure} for coverage like our old style pads. We have all trained our selves to apply pressure and tap tap tap, to make sure that our image is all ink'd up so the new firm foam pad  does take a bit to get use to at first trying to remember to use a lighter hand when inking our image. Here is some helpful info provided by SU! that will be able to answer those frequently asked questions I've been receiving.

With the introduction of the 2012-2013 annual catalog, we have made a very big change to our Stampin’ Pads.

Introducing firm foam pads! They change your stamping experience for the better.
We know you’re going to love these new Stampin’ Pads—just look at all the exciting benefits listed below:
  • Provide better ink coverage for your stamps!
  • Light-tap stamping produces flawless images!
In addition, our new Stampin’ Pads
  • Create wonderfully solid images. The Firm Foam releases more ink onto your rubber stamp than the felt pads. When using the Firm Foam pad, your stamp will get an even, solid covering of ink that you may not have been able to achieve with the felt pads. Please note: if you are using the ink pad frequently you may need to re-ink your Firm Foam pad more often.
  • Have a crisply printed, glossy label on the top of the pad that is easier to read and that will not fade or chip off!
  • Come with color name labels in all four languages (English, Spanish, French, and German)--just choose your language, peel it off the back, and add it to the side of the pad for easy identification!
  • Use the same patented flip-top case design that stores the inking surface upside down, so the pad surface stays moist!
  • Are available in all colors, including our exclusive In Colors!

Please note: Five ink colors have undergone formula changes to improve functionality and color stability with the new firm foam pads. These colors are
  • Basic Black
  • Basic Gray
  • Marina Mist
  • Perfect Plum
  • Tempting Turquoise
While using the new ink formula in the old Stampin’ Pads is fine, we do not recommend using the old ink formula for these five colors in the new firm foam pads.
